In short, when you are going to buy a new account:

• Do not use a similar username or profile picture.
• A fresh account with 0 hours is not going to be insane at the game.
• Aim to buy a legitimate account with 100+ hours in your region.

Registry and Traces

Fortnite creates many trace files that you cannot manually delete, so it’s important to use a spoofer with a built-in cleaner to avoid trace bans.

Method 1: A spoofer with a built-in cleaner

We personally recommend using reported.lol which is one of the top Fortnite spoofers.

• Cleans registry keys, EAC files, and Fortnite traces automatically.
• Supports EAC without full reinstalls.
• Trusted and undetected in 2026.

Method 2: Fresh Windows install

If you'd rather not rely on a cleaner, reinstalling Windows from scratch removes every trace on the drive: registry keys, EAC files, leftover Fortnite folders, all of it. It's the heavier option and it takes longer, but nothing survives it.

Two things to get right while you're doing it:

• Don't sign into the same Microsoft account during Windows setup. Use a different one, or set the machine up with a local account instead.
• Don't log into the same Epic Games account once you're back in. A clean install that links straight back to the banned account undoes the whole exercise.

You will still need a spoofer afterwards. A reinstall wipes the drive, it does not change your hardware identifiers, and a HWID ban is tied to the hardware rather than the install. So it's a clean slate for traces only.

HWID Spoofers

Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) collects and logs the hardware identifiers (HWIDs) of your system whenever you launch an EAC game. If you get multiple bans on the same HWID, EAC may escalate to a full hardware ban, meaning any account you use on that machine will be banned within a short time, usually 2–4 hours. This ban is tied directly to your system’s hardware profile, so simply creating a new account on the same PC won’t circumvent the ban unless you change or spoof your HWID.

What a HWID spoofer does:

1. Masks or alters hardware serials: It changes the hardware serial numbers that the operating system or game client reports to the anti-cheat system.
2. Prevents link-back to banned HWIDs: By spoofing (i.e., falsifying) these identifiers, the spoofer attempts to trick the anti-cheat into thinking it is running on a different physical machine.

IP Address

Finally, your IP address: In the case of Fortnite, EAC doesn't log your IP address. In certain cases they do but it's only held for around two weeks.

There are 2 main ways to change your IP address: changing your router's MAC address (which most of you can't do) and using a VPN which will work 100% of the time as long as you're using a reliable residential VPN.

How to Change Your IP with a VPN

To change your IP with a VPN is probably the most simple thing in this guide. These are the VPNs I will recommend and are known working:

• Mysterium Dark. Only downside: it is public so you can use an IP that another cheater has used, which can lead to ban evasion bans that were not caused by you.
• StarVPN. You need their business residential plan but it is probably the best option out of the two.
