Internal vs external: the two approaches

The split that applies across every game. An internal loads a module into the game's own process, and running inside the game gives direct access to rendering and game-state data, which is what makes the deepest feature sets possible. We sell internals for Rust and Black Ops 7.

An external runs as its own separate process and reads the game's memory from outside instead of loading into it. Nothing foreign goes into the game process, which is what keeps your footprint small. You trade a bit of depth for that, since anything that needs to write into game state in the same frame the game draws it is harder from outside. For most people that's a trade well worth making, and it's the approach we sell for Arc Raiders.

Why extraction games are their own thing

Arc Raiders is an extraction shooter, so your gear and your stash basically are your progress. That's different to a round-based shooter where a session resets to nothing, and it's worth keeping in mind two ways.

First, it's why keeping your existing account matters to people here more than in most games, and why an external that works alongside it is the natural fit. Requirements and how your key works

Windows 10 or 11. That's the whole requirement list, there's nothing else to install or configure first.

Your key is locked to your hardware, so it runs on one machine at a time. Change PC or swap parts and support will reset it for you, as many times as you need, there's no limit on resets. What isn't allowed is sharing: one key, one person, and no account sharing either.

If a build goes down

If a build gets detected or goes offline for a patch, your time is paused, and then it's compensated automatically once it's back online. You don't have to ask and you don't pay for days you couldn't use, which is the bit people worry about most before buying a longer key.

Getting the most out of it

1. Have a look at the badge on the day, not the day you bought.
2. Play on an alt account. We always recommend it, and doubly so here: in an extraction game the stash is the progress. Alt account options are here.
3. Play it calm. Wiping every squad in every lobby is how you end up with people paying attention to you, which leads to you getting reported and then banned.
4. Follow the setup guide that's provided after purchase. It goes over everything, so make sure you don't miss a step.

Closet cheating beats rage cheating

If you want a key to last, play like you're not running anything. Closet cheating means keeping it quiet: no snapping across the map, no pre-firing every wall, no clips. Most people who get caught got reported by other players rather than picked up by the anti-cheat, so playing calm does more for you than any setting.

If you do fancy rage cheating, do it on an alt account rather than your main.
